Updates to our cleaning standards

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it’s possible for the coronavirus to spread through touching an infected surface. Now more than ever, a clean space matters.

Standard cleaning protocol

All our Event Ambassadors are required to do the following prior to each booking:

·       Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space with disinfectants

·       Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol

·       Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances

·       Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable

·       Remove garbage and add new lining to cans

Enhanced COVID-19 measures

We used recommendations from the CDC to compile a list of additional precautions hosts can take to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in addition to the standard cleaning protocol.

·       Limit guest count based on state and local capacity guidelines

·       Space out bookings to allow for enhanced cleaning

·       Follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting the space between every booking

·       Disinfect high touch surfaces and shared amenities such as light switches, door knobs with EPA approved products

·       Properly clean or remove soft, porous materials

·       Reconfigure the space or add markers to allow for physical distance

Protecting yourself during a booking

According to the CDC, the coronavirus mainly spreads through person-to-person contact. Here’s how you can limit your exposure during your booking.

Maintain physical distance

The golden rule is to stay at least six feet apart from anyone you do not live with.

Open windows and doors

Increasing outdoor air ventilation can help minimize risk. If weather permits, keep doors open and open garage door..

Wear a mask

All attendees should wear a mask that covers both their nose and mouth while indoors or in close proximity to one another.

Wash your hands

Use warm water and soap and wash for at least twenty seconds. Use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
